New Year, New Blog!!

Happy New Years!

Its 2013 and told my self I officially document my journey at Full Sail University.

Im an afro rocking, Ke$ha music loving, 24 year old mother to a future diva and wife to a business mogul in the making! I'am currently studying web design & development online at Full Sail University. I love things that sparkle and was born with glitter in my veins and codes on my brain! After I graduated high school in 07' I tried my hands at college (originally for pharmacy) then but 08' I fell in love and ended up in Las Vegas getting married!! By 09' I was giving birth to my daughter and was thinking "OMG I so did this backward... Hubby & kid??? No degree!" Lived in Tulsa OK for a bit then ending back in FL now living in Orlando and attending Full Sail University. I guess I'm doing a great job at being a mom and wife my family is still together! Even after a few bumps in the road we are tighter then ever. Once my family and I got things on track I made a big decision and decided to go to school for web design and development. Weird huh? From pharmacy to web design, I've always had a love for science and technology but notice my career & family life wouldn't have been for a while if I focused on PharmD so here I'm walking nah more like running down this road of technology.

I started April 30th 2012 and due to grad around July 2014. This month the class I will be focused on will be Geometry and Measurement. Most of the classes the first few months were mostly pre req course. While making this blog I'm hoping to reach and network with others in my field or ones like my self who are trying to break into it.

Art History

Mobile Media Design I

Mobile Media Design II

Networks and Server Structures

Principles of Production Process

  1. It was indeed a drastic shift of career. But then, you can practice both if you can make time for it. After you finish your web design course, you can work as a pharmacist and freelance as a web designer. You can actually start building your market through this blog. This can be your own ad without being too commercialized. Good luck, Fridelande!

  2. Follow what your heart desires, Fridelande. Actually, both professions are very beneficial. Web design is pretty popular nowadays, and it’s because a lot of businessmen are advertising their business on the internet. When designing a website, always make sure that the layout should be SEO friendly. By the way, I agree with Sage Aumick that having two professions will make for a brighter future.

  3. It’s 2013 indeed and I hope you’ve had a good start of the year! Web design is a very interesting course and it allows you to get ahead of those internet marketers who rely on online DIY tips with their site designs. I agree with Sage’s idea that you can work as a pharmacist and become a freelance web designer at the same time. More income for you and at the same time, you can work on your interests.
